Return & Refund Policy

Quick Summary

📦 Returns - If you need to return something, you have 30 days from the date of delivery. To be eligible: items must be unused, in original condition and package; Also requires proof of purchase (receipt or order number)

🛠 Damaged, defective, or wrong items - Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives, and contact us within 48 hours so we can make it right with a replacement or refund.

👮Stolen or missing packages - Once a package is marked as delivered by the carrier in the tracking report, Redwood Mushroom Supply is no longer responsible for the package. Contact USPS, FedEx, or UPS to file a claim for stolen packages. 

Non-Returnable Items - Due to the nature of some of our products, such as sterilized goods, custom items, live cultures, final sale items, these are not eligible for return, exchange, or refund.

💳 Approved refunds will be issued back to your original payment method within 10 business days. We’ll send you a confirmation as soon as it’s processed.

30-Day Return Window
If something’s not quite right, you have 30 days from the delivery date to request a return.

To qualify for a refund, replacement, or return, items must be:

  • In original condition – unused and unmodified

  • In the original packaging, with all instructions and accessories included

  • Accompanied by a receipt or proof of purchase

How to Start a Return
To begin a return, contact us at contact@redwoodmushroomsupply.com. Once your return is accepted, we’ll send you a prepaid return shipping label (if applicable) along with instructions on how and where to send your package.

Please don’t send items back without contacting us first—we won’t be able to process your return or refund if we haven’t approved the return request in advance.

Return & Replacement Shipping Costs:
- If the return is due to damage, defect, or a mistake on our end, we will cover the cost of the replacement shipment.
- For all other returns (e.g., changed your mind, ordered the wrong item), the customer is responsible for return shipping.

Restocking Fee
A restocking fee of 10% of the purchase price would be applied to all returned items. This fee does not apply to returns for damaged, defective, or incorrect items and will be deducted from the refund amount.

Refund Amounts: Refunds will be for the purchase price of the product(s) returned, less any shipping costs and restocking fees unless otherwise specified.

Damages and other issues
Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us within 48 hours if the item is defective, damaged, or you received the wrong product. We’ll evaluate the issue and make it right.

Biological Product Disclaimer

All-in-One Grow Bags (AIO), Grain, and Substrate

We stand behind the quality of our sterilized products. If your grow bags or grain show signs of contamination within 30 days of purchase, we will replace the bag at no cost.

  • Coverage applies only when bags are inoculated within 30 days of the purchase date.

  • Customers must provide proof of purchase and photographs of the contamination.

  • Bags inoculated with expired, non-sterile, or unverified spore/culture sources are not covered.

  • Misuse, improper storage, or damage after delivery voids coverage.

Ready-to-Fruit Grow Kits (Fruiting Blocks)

Our Ready-to-Fruit Grow Kits are guaranteed to arrive fully colonized and healthy. If contamination or failure to fruit occurs within 30 days of purchase, we will provide a replacement kit.

  • To qualify, kits must be stored and fruited according to the provided instructions.

  • Environmental conditions such as inadequate humidity, improper temperatures, or lack of fresh air exchange are outside our control and are not covered under warranty.

  • We cannot guarantee harvest yield, as mushroom growth depends on grower care and environment.

Warranty & Wear and Tear

Redwood Mushroom Supply does not provide product warranties beyond our standard 30-day return period. Normal wear and tear, misuse, improper storage, or damage caused after delivery are not covered under our policy.

If a product comes with a third-party manufacturer’s warranty, customers must contact the manufacturer directly for warranty service. We will provide proof of purchase upon request to assist with manufacturer claims.

Stolen or Missing Packages (Marked “Delivered”)

Redwood Mushroom Supply is not responsible for packages once they have been marked as “Delivered” by the carrier. If you believe your package has been stolen or is missing after delivery, please reach out to your carrier. We are available at contact@redwoodmushroomsupply.com if you need information to file your claim. All claims must be submitted directly to the carrier.

Due to the nature of certain products, the following items are non-returnable and non-refundable:

- Grain and Substrate (Sterilized) – All
- Petri Dishes (Sterilized)
- Petri Dishes and Slants (Pre-Poured)
- All-American Sterilizers & Pressure Cookers
- FLOCUBE Flow Hoods & Accessories
- Max Yield Bins & Accessories
- Any items marked as Final Sale
- Custom products (made-to-order items)
- Live cultures
- Hazardous materials or flammable liquids
- Gift cards and downloadable digital products

Exchanges
The fastest way to get what you need is to return the item you have, and once your return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

Incorrect Address Disclaimer
Customers are responsible for providing a correct and complete shipping address at checkout. Redwood Mushroom Supply is not liable for lost or undelivered packages resulting from incorrect or incomplete addresses entered by the customer.

International Orders
International customers are responsible for all import duties, taxes, and customs fees. Due to customs restrictions, international orders are not eligible for return.

Refunds on Returned Items
Once we’ve received and inspected your return, we’ll notify you whether the refund has been approved. If approved, your refund will be processed automatically to your original payment method within 10 business days.

Please note: Your bank or credit card company may take additional time to process and post the refund. Processing time is outside our control. Once a refund is issued, any further issues must be handled via your bank.
